INGREDIENT SPOTLIGHT
Is there lead in your wicks?
No. The candle industry implemented a self-imposed ban on lead wicks in 1974, which U.S. federal regulators codified into law in 2003. Lead wicks are virtually impossible to find in candles sold in the United States today.
How long do your candles burn?
Our candles burn for up to 100 hours.
What are your candles made of?
Our candles are crafted from a premium blend of paraffin and soy wax, combining the best properties of both. This blend delivers vibrant colors, exceptional scent throw throughout your space, and a clean burn that leaves no wax residue when used properly.
Why do candles smoke sometimes?
A well made candle produces virtually no smoke when burning correctly. However, if the wick becomes too long or air currents disturb the flame's natural teardrop shape, small amounts of unburned carbon particles (soot) may escape as a wisp of smoke.
To prevent this, trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use and place candles away from drafts, vents, and air currents. If your candle continually flickers or smokes, extinguish it, allow it to cool, trim the wick, ensure the area is draft free, and relight.
Is soot harmful?
No. The minimal soot produced by candles is a natural byproduct of incomplete combustion, composed primarily of elemental carbon particles. This is similar to the soot from everyday household sources like kitchen toasters and cooking oils, which are not considered health concerns and are chemically different from soot produced by diesel fuel, coal, or gasoline.
Can candles affect sensitive individuals?
While millions of people enjoy scented candles without issue, it's possible that certain fragrances may trigger reactions in sensitive individuals. Those with known sensitivities to specific scents may wish to avoid candles with those fragrances. We recommend burning all candles scented or unscented in well-ventilated areas.
